# How-To Steps:
01 - Rinse quinoa thoroughly using a fine mesh strainer under cold running water.
02 - Combine quinoa, water, and salt in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, reduce to low, cover, and simmer for 12–15 minutes until water is absorbed. Remove from heat, keep covered for 5 minutes, then fluff with a fork and allow to cool completely.
03 - In a small bowl or jar, whisk olive oil, lemon juice, honey or maple syrup, Dijon mustard, salt, and freshly ground black pepper until smooth and emulsified.
04 - In a large mixing bowl, add cooled quinoa, strawberries, diced avocado, baby spinach or mixed greens, thinly sliced red onion, chopped basil, and toasted almonds or pecans. Toss to mix.
05 - Drizzle the citrus dressing over the salad ingredients. Gently toss to evenly coat. Top with crumbled feta cheese, if desired, and serve immediately.
